ABCs of Prepared Childbirth

The ABC’s of Prepared Childbirth and newborn care is a 10 hour course that prepares couples for the childbirth and newborn care experience.
The outline includes: Anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, labor terms, stages and phases of labor, when to go and and what to bring to the hospital, breathing, relaxation, comfort measures, pain relief options, interventions, procedures, medical support, what to expect in the hospital and options in childbirth, including information on inductions, cesarean birth, postpartum and the newborn care basics for the first 4 to 6 weeks of life.

You will receive an email confirmation upon your online enrollment. If you need to cancel your class, we request that you notify us as soon as possible so that others who are on the waiting list might have an opportunity to attend the class. We cannot refund unless the cancellation is made at least 3 business days prior to the start of the class. The classes rarely cancel but we reserve the right to cancel if there is not adequate enrollment. In this event, an attempt will be made to place you in another class, or you will receive a refund.

Participants in childbirth classes should bring two pillows and a blanket to class and wear comfortable clothing.
