Dr. Beth L. Thai joins Oakwood Women’s Centre at Seton Williamson as its newest associate. She completed her undergraduate studies, magna cum laude, at The Ohio State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Thai then earned her medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. She went on to complete her residency at UT Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Dr. Thai accepted a position as Assistant Clinical Professor at UT Health Science Center at San Antonio, an academic post that allowed her to be involved in resident and medical student education. While there, she helped to develop a surgical simulation lab and curriculum, and was able to attend medical mission trips.
Dr. Thai brings to our Round Rock ObGyn practice an interest in treating abnormal uterine bleeding, cervical dysplasia and pelvic floor disorders. She is committed to providing her patients access to alternatives to surgery, as well as minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Thai will concentrate on providing continuity of care, from routine obstetric care to comprehensive gynecologic services. She is certified in the da Vinci Surgical System™, a technique that provides the surgeon with greater dexterity and visualization during procedures
In her spare time, Dr. Thai enjoys live music, running, tennis, kayaking and international travel. She also enjoys medical missions, having traveled to Guatemala through Helps International and Swaziland, Africa through Wright State University. She is fluent in conversational Cantonese and improving her medical Spanish.
Dr. Thai is a board certified ObGyn and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). She is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Travis County Medical Society. In addition, Dr. Thai belongs to the Gold Humanism Honor Society and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), a medical association dedicated to research and advancing minimally invasive gynecology.
