Misty Danielson, WHNP

Misty Danielson grew up in Minnesota and graduated from North Dakota State University’s Nursing School in 1984. She was recognized by the National Dean’s List in 1981-82 and was a member of Phi Eta Sigma.

In the fall of 1984 Misty moved to Austin and began working in the cardiology unit at St. David’s Medical Center. She then spent five years in the Intensive Care Unit prior to training in Labor and Delivery. She worked as Charge Nurse in both ICU and L&D. In 1990 Misty joined Seton Medical Center in Labor & Delivery. While employed at Seton, she was involved in education for nursing staff in outlying hospitals. She taught childbirth classes for 7 years with Renaissance Women’s Group. Misty graduated from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner in 1998. She began working for Dr. Linda Litzinger in 1993 and continued until Dr. Linda Litzinger discontinued her practice October of 2008. Misty is pleased to now be working with Dr. Laura Meritt and Dr. Melanie Collins.

She is recognized by the State of Texas as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Women’s Health Care and is certified by the National Certification Corporation for Obstetrics, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties.

Misty is married and has two daughters. She enjoys running, movies, weekends in Port Aransas and spending time with her grandson and granddaughters.

She is committed to caring for Women and their families and educating them to improve their quality of life with close collaboration with other Health Care Professionals.
