Virginie Drummond, MD
Virginie Drummond, MD is an experienced and skilled Austin ObGyn. As part of Renaissance Women’s Group, Dr. Drummond provides world-class obstetrics and gynecology services for women of all ages. She became an Austin ObGyn after working as a clinical attending physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital and an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Medical Center.
Dr. Drummond graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Language Arts. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
She completed her residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital, which is one of the busiest hospitals in the United States. There, she provided obstetrics care for routine and high-risk pregnancies. During her residency, Dr. Drummond received the prestigious Peggy J. Whalley Medicus Award from the faculty. The faculty gives this award to the person who they feel best represents their idea of the ideal ObGyn resident. One faculty member commented, “She is without question the most talented resident we have been fortunate enough to train.”
Dr. Drummond is licensed to practice medicine in New York, Kansas and Texas, and she is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She also has Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. She enjoys caring for patients and provides outstanding clinical care. She sees patients in our Cedar Park office.
Dr. Drummond is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and she is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the American Medical Association. She is also a member of the Travis County Medical Society.
Dr. Drummond was born in Coulombe, France. She loves to travel to international destinations and speaks fluent French and Spanish. She is married and lives in the Austin area.
