Partners in Birth

August 26 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

AustinBorn’s Partners in Birth class is designed to help the birthing person and their support person learn techniques for communication and coping during the labor process. Participants will learn:

  • Partner assisted yoga-based postures to support you, to ease sensation during contractions, and to create a more harmonious birth experience
  • Breathing techniques to ease strong birth sensations and to keep you calm
  • Comfort measures you can use before, during, and after your birth to help the baby descend more easily, to relieve strong sensations, relax the body and calm the mind
  • Listening skills to keep you and your birth partner connected during birth
  • Essential oils for relaxation and birth challenges
  • The rhythm and ritual of birth

About the instructor: Sarah Evans
Sarah Evans (E-RYT) is a certified yoga instructor and has been teaching since 2015.  Her focus includes Hatha, Gentle, Beginners Series, Prenatal and Postnatal, with a concentration on nurturing mothers through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
